Alumni excel throughout all areas of fashion and lifestyle and have gone on to work for companies such as Chanel, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Ross Stores, The Financial Times, Ulta Beauty, Google, Saks Fifth Avenue, Cannabis Creative, and The National Football League.Position PurposeThe Associate Director of Admissions & Events position oversees department functions and acts on assigned leadership tasks and roles. The Associate Director works closely with the Director of Admissions to assess enrollment and make data-driven decisions for recruitment. The Associate Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing all LIM events, including Open House, Transfer Days, Info Sessions, and other events.SALARY: $68,000/AnnuallyEssential Functions And Basic DutiesLeadership
- Carries out direct supervisory responsibilities which includes coaching, training, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance; addressing challenges and reviewing problems
- Delegating responsibilities to the Admissions staff to ensure that policies and decisions are properly discharged at all levels in the office
- Student workers
- Creating a climate that is proactive and helps staff achieve professional goals
- Conducts team and individual meetings regularly to motivate while encouraging and discussing key issues and concerns with staff
- Being a champion of the College, supporting leadership decisions and helping staff understand decisions made
- Creates key performance indicator standards to evaluate Admissions staff performance on a daily, weekly and monthly basis
- Present at both virtual and in-person events, representing the admissions team and institution.
- Attending management meetings prepared with updates on projects and staff performance
- Providing campus wide leadership in the development of and access to admissions-related functions and information while managing the ongoing campus-wide admissions technical support and data requests
- Works closely with the Admissions team, providing guidance and support
Recruitment Management
- Co-coordinates annual pre-recruitment meetings across college departments for sharing institutional updates during recruitment and at campus hosted events
- Involves the College community in recruitment inclusive but not limited to current students, alumni, and current students' parents
- Ensures that the current Admissions recruitment strategy of prospect and applicant management is clearly understood by the department and executed
- Works closely with the Director of Admissions to identify undergraduate areas of opportunity and potential partnerships.
- Provides guidance to staff in general admissions duties, including the planning and implementation of off-campus recruiting activities and prospect/application management
- Reviews annual enrollment projections with Director of Admissions
- Works closely with key consulting partners including but not limited to Ruffalo Noel Levitz to understand the workflow, process and recommendations and work to implement recommendations with the department and interdepartmentally
- Collaborate with Associate Director of Transfer Advising on high school, i.e. BOCES, and community college pathways for the timely execution of articulation agreements, scholarship offerings and specfiality events, internally hosted and externally hosted (recruitment)
Event Management
- Oversees travel and expense budgets and ensures decisions that are made are fiscally responsible
- Provides direction to staff regarding special projects such as communication flow, social media, event planning
- Identifies areas of weakness within the office and creates ideas for addressing such weaknesses
- Coordinate and supervise training sessions, manage the admissions file reading process, and track applicant contacts
- Serves as a liaison, partnering with other departments including but not limited to Student Financial Services, Academic Advising, Marketing and Communications and Student Affairs to ensure that processes are communicated and executed according to department and/or company policy
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Director of Admissions
REQUIREMENTS: The person selected will have the following qualifications:Education/Certification
- Bachelor's degree required
Required Experience/Skills
- Four or more years' experience in admissions (proprietary education preferred), customer service or a sales-related environment
- At least 1 year of experience in a managerial position
- Experience working with Slate CRM preferred
- Mastery knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to multitask, effective communication skills, ability to troubleshoot and problem solve, decision making skills, project management skills, well organized, data driven and analytical skills
