Title of Position Associate Director of Admission and Athletics Liaison
Reporting to the Dean of Admission/ AVP , the Associate Director of Admission and Athletics Liaison will recruit, review admission applications, and enroll traditional first-year, full-time undergraduate students.The Associate Director will communicate information about the University experience to students, parents, counselors, and other influencers and manage a recruiting territory with additional responsibilities focused around management of key projects. The role includes managing special projects that require coordination with internal and external team members, and serves as the admission liaison to Athletics.This position requires frequent travel and evening and weekend hours.
Essential Functions
Manages recruitment territory, reviews admission applications, and enrolls traditional first-year full-time undergraduate students.Manages a suite of key special projects including but not limited to athletics, and seasonal readers. Serves as the Admission liaison to Athletics.Coordinates the efforts of team members who assist with the execution of specific special projects.Collaborates with team managers at each stage on the execution of teamwide projects.Develops and maintains collaborative relationships with team members and other University community members.Reviews and processes admission applications, including but not limited to meeting reading benchmarks, adhering to holistic reading standards, and providing proactive customer service to families and students at all stages in the process.Communicates effectively both in individual settings and in group presentations.

Additional Functions
Develops a highly nuanced knowledge of university, mission, academic programs, and admission-specific messaging.Represents the Office of Admission at college panels and other special off-campus events hosted by the high school counseling community.Presents at local, regional, or national conferences.Participates actively in staff meetings and retreats.
Required Qualifications: Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree.Minimum of 5 years' experience in Undergraduate Admission.
Required Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in both individual and group settings, with proficiency in public speaking.Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across diverse constituencies.Excellent organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
Prior experience supporting or coordinating athletic recruitment in collaboration with coaches or athletic departments.Ability to read and synthesize information within compressed time frames and for a high volume of application information.Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in education, higher education administration, counseling, or a related field.Prior experience working in a higher education setting.Familiarity with Technolutions Slate or a comparable admissions CRM platform.Advanced quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and inform recruitment strategies.
