The Associate Director, Licensing Operations will effectively manage- licensing operational functions, including overseeing the product approval process; ensuring adherence to contractual obligations including royalty reporting and forecasting, creating and implementing processes to streamline and build efficiencies into the operations process; and maintaining on-going communication with cross-functional teams to ensure information is shared frequently, with accuracy and in a timely manner.
Oversee the end-to-end product approval process, ensuring all required licensor approvals are obtained for product concepts, artwork, packaging, and physical products
Manage the flow of assets and information between cross-functional teams, including Merchandising, Product Development, Packaging, Creative Services, Marketing, and PR
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product, packaging, and marketing approvals, both internally and with external partners
Maintain and enforce protocols to ensure compliance with brand and licensing guidelines
Serve as the primary liaison with licensor financial and approval teams, fostering strong professional relationships to support the success of licensed products
Document and update licensing procedures and guidelines to enhance communication across internal teams, including notifications on new licenses, contract terms, rights scope, and legal requirements
Monitor contract compliance, including test reports, manufacturing agreements, vendor compliance, factory audits, financial audits, and sample approvals
Track and manage the progress of product development and approvals, identifying risks, resolving issues proactively, and ensuring timely delivery of priorities
Collaborate with in-house counsel to execute and maintain licensing agreements
Represent the company during licensor audits, providing internal support and clear external insights into company processes
Develop and maintain reporting dashboards to track business performance, establish success metrics, and align team processes to achieve goals
The pay range reflects the potential base salary range for this role. Individual base pay is determined by various factors such as relevant experience and skills, and the scopeand responsibilities of the position.
