About Our Engineering Sciences Team

As part of our expanding Global Engineering and Scientific consulting team, you will tackle complex engineering challenges, analyzing failures across various industries, with a focus on large industrial facilities like power plants, Oil & Gas, chemical plants, and construction. Work also spans automotive, consumer products, electronics, and medical devices.

Our Human Factors group applies principles of human behavior, abilities, and limitations to ensure systems and projects are safe, efficient, and user-friendly.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct hands-on failure analysis investigations
  • Plan and execute laboratory tests
  • Perform field inspections
  • Communicate with clients and counsel
  • Assist in preparing critique reports and technical reports
  • Develop positive relationships with colleagues, peers, and clients
  • Prepare for and attend hearings, trials, and mediations
  • Manage multiple engagement requirements
Qualifications
  • Master's or PhD in Experimental, Industrial, or Cognitive Psychology, Industrial Engineering + 5 years of Human Factors experience
  • Or related field + 10+ years of Human Factors experience
  • Certified Human Factors Professional or User Experience Professional preferred
  • Experience in forensic field, experimental design, safety consulting, statistical analysis, or evidence examination
  • Knowledge of regulations, standards, scientific literature on human performance and safety
  • Experience in human factors research, testing, design, and evaluation of warnings and safety info
  • Strong report writing skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively
  • Ability to work in teams, manage projects, and prioritize tasks
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, listening, verbal, and written skills
  • Leadership desire and ability to travel as needed

The salary range is $150,000 to $200,000, depending on experience, location, and qualifications.
