Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and five (5) years of experience in a computing, technology, or IT support environment, including supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced degree, experience in higher education or public institutions, managing information systems or tech projects, supervising IT support teams, and utilizing assessment data to improve outcomes.

Brief Description of Duties:

Embedded in Student Health, Wellness and Prevention Services (SHWPS), reporting to the Executive Director of Strategic Analytics and Technologies. The role involves serving as a co-lead, technical advisor, and system admin for vital IT assets and platforms such as Medicat, Rcopia, QS1, Symplicity, Fusion, SubItUp, Acuity Scheduler, Spruce Health, and others.

Leadership and Support:

  • Providing daily support for SHWPS IT needs.
  • Planning and conducting systems analysis projects.
  • Developing and evaluating systems to meet client needs.
  • Establishing standards for ticketing, workflow, and troubleshooting.
  • Maintaining documentation and managing hardware and software inventory.
  • Providing hardware support and engaging with clients to address issues.

Collaboration:

  • Communicating with staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with IT units and vendors to develop projects, maintain best practices, ensure security and privacy, and implement upgrades.

Supervision:

  • Supervising IT staff, providing leadership, mentorship, and performance evaluation.

Professional Development:

  • Participating in training, conferences, and committees.
  • Supporting university events and activities.
  • Performing other duties as assigned; evening and weekend work may be required.

Notes:

  • This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary threshold to maintain FLSA exemption.
  • Eligible for $4000 UUP annual location pay.
  • Designated as an essential position, requiring reporting during emergencies.
  • We cannot sponsor work visas.
