Role Overview:The Associate Director will work closely with the Director/Manager to assist in structuring and executing activities for our corporate banking clients, including preparing credit presentations, negotiating documentation, guiding junior staff, and monitoring borrower compliance and industry trends.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships through a customer-focused approach.
  • Structure, analyze, and perform due diligence on complex transactions, including preparing client forecasts and models.
  • Develop recommendations and prepare credit submissions for risk management review.
  • Review legal documentation and assess credit requirements for clients.
  • Ensure all credit files and documents are complete and current.
  • Maintain operational and compliance controls, including risk management frameworks and conduct guidelines.
  • Monitor the underwriting portfolio and assess non-investment grade financing transactions.
  • Review individual deals critically, including EBITDA forecasts, capital structure, and risk/reward considerations.
  • Lead a team in pursuing operational excellence and adherence to policies.
  • Coordinate with senior management on portfolio presentations.

Qualifications:

  • Understanding of US regulatory considerations.
  • 4-7 years of experience in corporate banking, specifically in non-investment grade credit risk analysis.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field; advanced degrees or professional designations are a plus.
  • Strong communication skills, proactive decision-making, and team collaboration.
  • Excellent modeling skills with supervisory experience preferred.
