Overview

Monks is looking to expand our creative service capabilities by hiring an Associate Director of Design. You will be helping to build the creative offering for a top performance marketing agency. You will partner with our media buying team and alongside clients to develop creative that drives results. We are looking for a fast, flexible go-getter with a sharp eye, adept skills, and the drive to deliver top-notch creative for our clients.

Responsibilities

Youll be responsible for concepting and designing post-production paid media ads for digital channels (including but not limited to Facebook, Google, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube) both net-new and from existing client materials.

This role reports to the Group Director, Performance Creative, and serves as the Unit Head of the Design Unit. You will be looked to for performance design expertise, service offering growth and support in hiring. Your input will be instrumental in staffing, ways of working and making our offering competitive.

Were hiring a designer who not only creates beautiful work, but can collaboratively brainstorm iterations and next steps based on how the work performs. Our work drives meaningful performance improvements for our clients.

Creative
  • Concepting and designing Direct Response-focused design assets for paid platforms (Facebook, Google, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.), both net-new and from existing client materials.
  • Creating proposals, sketches and mockups to kickstart new projects and win pitches.
  • Aligning to client style guides in digital asset creation.
  • Knowledge and application of paid media platform design best practices.
Soft Skills
  • Proven management track record: ability to provide helpful feedback, nurture designer growth, and provide support.
  • Self-starter, problem-solver & team-player.
  • Effectively, autonomously + confidently presents design content during client calls.
  • Collaborates easily with media + creative teammates, and with clients when receiving feedback.
  • Offer new angles, best practices and practical solutions to our design workflows.
  • Openness to team and client feedback.
  • Be eager to push the limits within your work and your personal development.
About You The essentials:
  • 5-10 years technical experience with paid media ad design, preferably at a performance-focused agency
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • Portfolio is required
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • 4 year college degree (preferably in design) or equivalent work experience
  • B2C and B2B experience
Not a must, but a plus:
  • Experience using Gen AI tools for ad builds and concepting
  • Familiarity with Google suite

Salary Range: $97,000$118,000 USD
