Job Description :

We are seeking an Associate Director to join our Risk Development Team to provide technical and thought leadership across a range of credit risk initiatives. This role will focus on the execution and deployment of credit models and strategies that power our core loans decisioning platforms. You will play a critical role in driving the modernization of our decisioning ecosystem, collaborating closely with risk strategy, product, and technology partners to deliver business impact.

In this role:

  • Lead the design, development, testing and implementation of credit risk models, workflows and decision strategies across Risk platforms.

  • Provide technical direction and best practices for risk execution initiatives, ensuring alignment with modern architecture principles.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (including Credit Strategy, Product, and Technology) to define and implement scalable, resilient solutions.

  • Contribute to the modernization of the decisioning platform by applying expertise in cloud-native technologies, containerization, and DevOps practices.

  • Navigate ambiguity and evolving requirements while delivering high-quality, business-critical solutions.

  • Serve as a technical mentor and subject-matter expert, promoting engineering excellence and innovation within risk execution.

  • Develop testing & control procedures to ensure execution accuracy and effective post implementation monitoring

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, CIS/MIS, engineering, or related statistical field (Master's degree preferred)

  • 8+ years in financial services with heavy use of predictive models and strategy-based decision-making platforms

  • Design, develop, and maintain software solutions using object-oriented programming principles in languages such as Java and Python

  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets

  • Solid understanding of modern system architecture concepts (microservices, APIs, event-driven design)

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Exposure to MLOps and DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and drive initiatives through ambiguity

  • Proven success collaborating with diverse teams to deliver complex technical solutions that achieve business goals

  • Experience in credit decisioning within the financial services' domain

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with decision engines (e.g., Experian PowerCurve, Drools) and rule management systems
