Job DescriptionJob Location: NY or any other unanticipated worksites/locations throughout the US
- Lead the Cost Management team on specific client commissions, making sure that the team delivers on all accountabilities.
- Take a lead role in interfacing with the client, stakeholders, and other consultants, at all project stages.
- Identify opportunities to improve cost management procedures, templates and products.
- Ensure that key information and learning generated from each commission inputted into internal databases and shared.
- Process improvement – Identify and act upon ways to improve internal systems and processes.
- Lead proposals for new work or variations for existing projects.
- Attend relevant networking events and other promotional opportunities.
- Staff management – Input into the formal management of staff and recruitment interviews.
- Undertake Staff Performance reviews.
- Financial management – Utilize the tools provided keep track of the ongoing margin levels and monthly fee/resource forecasts for each commission.
- Lead the development of cost estimates in consultation with the design services team and general contractor using the CostX software.
- Quality Control – Ensure compliance with quality standards and participation in ISO audits.
- Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes.
- Manage Cost impact / contingency management and commitment tracking logs.
- Prepare written comments to the general contractor's submissions, including the executive summary.

- Managing all Contract Administration tasks to ensure compliance with RICS standards and support efficient project execution.
- Preparing and presenting monthly cost reports to the client while efficiently utilizing the client's web-based construction project management software system - PMWeb.
- Dealing with post contract cost variances and the change control process.
- Providing recommendations for interim payment applications, ensuring accuracy and adherence to Contract terms.

- Creating cost plans and cost estimates using the CostX estimating tool, leveraging data from CAD drawings including BIM 2D and 3D models.
- Making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place.
- Identifying opportunities to improve cost management procedures and templates.
- Leading a cost management team, ensuring that they deliver on all of the above accountabilities.
