Department Overview

The Corporate Development Team ( CD ) is responsible for planning and executing strategic initiatives for the Firm with a focus on driving growth and profitability. The team collaborates with senior executives and business unit leaders to identify, assess and execute high-impact projects related to M&A, capital raising (debt and equity), partnerships and new product explorations.

Position Responsibilities

* Building and maintaining financial models

* Preparing presentations, analyses and recommendations for senior management

* Working with internal partners and external advisors (e.g., banks, accountants, consultants and lawyers) on transformational growth initiatives

* Supporting the planning and implementation of new lines of businesses and strategic transactions

* Becoming an expert on Golub Capital, the direct lending sector and the asset management industry; gathering information related to market intelligence and industry trends

* Providing leverage to the Corporate Development Team

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

* Bachelor's degree required

* 2+ years of experience at a top-tier investment bank, investment management firm, strategic consulting firm, private equity firm or corporate development group

* Strong quantitative, financial modeling and analytical skills required

* Financial services and / or asset management industry experience preferred

* Interest in business strategy and corporate development

* High level of intellectual curiosity with a desire to develop and implement innovative solutions to sophisticated business challenges

* Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task

* Adept at interacting with senior executives, department heads and external partners

* Abide by our work-in-office policies then in effect

Compensation and Benefits

For New York Only: It is expected that the base salary range for this position will be $135,000 to $170,000. Actual salaries may vary based on factors such as skills, experiences and qualifications for the role. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements and discretionary awards in addition to a full range of medical, financial and / or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits such as vacation, sick time and parental leave) dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the Firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time including for reasons related to individual performance, Firm or individual department / team performance and market factors.
