Associate Chemists - AACT : Job Details

AACT Inc. Jlabs @NYC, 101 6th Avenue New York City, NY, 10013, is seeking a highly motivated synthetic organic chemist and/or medicinal chemist at the senior scientist and associate scientist levels to join our drug design, discovery, and development program. The successful candidate will be involved in the design, synthesis and characterization of small molecules targeting protein kinases and viral proteins that play key roles in human cancers and viral infections. Responsibilities will include the design, synthesis, and structural assignment of newly synthesized molecules. Applicants for the scientist position should have a Ph.D. degree in synthetic organic or medicinal chemistry and the associate scientist position requires a M.S. degree with experience in multi-step organic synthesis. These positions require experience in designing synthetic routes for novel analogs and structure activity analysis (SAR). Applicants also need to be able to apply NMR, HPLC, LCMS and MS methods to solve structural configurations and purity. Good oral and communication skills in English is required. The candidates need to be a US citizen, green card holder or hold a valid visa (such as J2 or OPT employment authorization) that is accepted by the US immigration department.
