Position Summary: We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Associate Chaplain, Per Diem / Pastoral Care. In this role, the successful candidate will provide spiritual care to patients, their loved ones, and as appropriate, staff and hospital constituencies using an inter-faith model of care and working within the patient's belief and value system.
Job Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications: To qualify, you must have a Bachelor of Arts in religious or pastoral counseling studies, from an accredited school of theology, or equivalent. Successful completion of (2) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) recognized by the US Department of Education, required. Computer literacy and a skill level in Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, and Power Point, required. Excellent communication (both oral and written) and interpersonal skills, required. Substantial time spent with students from other disciplines, CPE, Interns and Volunteers, hospital staff, patients and families, requiring a high degree of emotional energy and mental alertness, required.
Preferred Qualifications: Masters Degree in theology from an Accredited School, preferred. Successful completion of (4) units of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) recognized by the US Department of Education, preferred. In process of ordination or commissioning by recognized religious group, preferred. 1 - 2 years experience as clergy or chaplain, preferred.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $28.00 - $28.00 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
