Job Description :

TRC is seeking a talented Associate Category Manager for an immediate opening for one of our supply chain management and distribution clients based out of Duluth, GA! This position is a direct hire role and will be onsite one day per week.

The Associate Category Manager – Construction helps supply chain team manage all the construction-related products and services needed to build or remodel (things like signs, lighting, HVAC, roofing, flooring, and décor).

Main Functions:

Category Management

  • Focus on construction-related items (signage, HVAC, roofing, flooring, décor, etc.).
  • Group and manage these products/services as a category to optimize cost and supplier performance.

Supplier Management

  • Work directly with suppliers to maintain good relationships.
  • Ensure they deliver on time, meet quality standards, and manage risks.

Negotiation & Contracts

  • Negotiate the best pricing and terms.
  • Write and renew supplier contracts.

New Program Development

  • Help design new supplier programs or service offerings to make things easier and cheaper for franchisees.

Collaboration

  • Work with Dunkin's internal teams (construction, R&D, operations, franchisees) to make sure everyone is aligned.

RFP/RFQ Management

  • Run sourcing events (RFI, RFQ, RFP).
  • Collect bids, compare them, and recommend the best supplier.

Continuous Supply

  • Keep a reliable list of suppliers.
  • Make sure Dunkin' always has access to the materials needed, even as demand grows.

Compliance & Internal Processes

  • Follow audit requirements, pricing setup, and item setup rules.

Cross-Functional Support

  • Assist other category teams and take part in special projects for growth.

Strategy & Analysis

  • Analyze pricing, supplier performance, and category trends.
  • Recommend cost-saving opportunities and improvements.

Skills They Want

  • 3–5 years in procurement, category management, or sourcing.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship skills.
  • Project management ability (juggle multiple projects).
  • Communication skills (clear and collaborative).
  • Degree in supply chain, business, or construction-related field preferred.
  • Expert with tools like Excel, SAP, or Tableu

  • Based in Duluth, GA.
  • Limited travel required.
  • Supervises one direct report.
  • Physical demand is light (mostly office work, computer-based).
