Salary Range: $90,000 – $105,000 annually + 10% bonus potential (paid twice/year)

The Landing of Poughkeepsie, located in Poughkeepsie, NY, is seeking an Assisted Living/Memory Care Director of Nursing (RN) to lead the clinical team in our community of 94 units (64 Assisted Living and 30 Memory Care).

Your Role: Assisted Living/Memory Care Director of Nursing (RN)

As the Assisted Living/Memory Care Director of Nursing, you will oversee the clinical operations, compliance, and overall health and wellness of residents across Assisted Living and Memory Care. This hands-on leadership role requires a Registered Nurse (RN) with proven senior living and clinical leadership experience who can guide and inspire the care team while ensuring regulatory compliance and delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

This position reports directly to the Executive Director (ED) and serves as the primary clinical leader for the community.

What You'll Do

Clinical Oversight & Compliance

• Ensure the community remains compliant with all federal, state, and local clinical regulations.
• Lead resident assessments, care planning, incident reporting, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Partner with pharmacy consultants, physicians, and allied health providers to optimize resident outcomes.

Resident Care Leadership

• Oversee the development and updates of individualized service plans.
• Monitor changes in condition and ensure timely documentation and follow-up.
• Maintain consistent communication with residents' families and responsible parties.

Team Leadership

• Supervise, coach, and mentor nursing and care staff.
• Manage clinical staffing schedules and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Build a culture of accountability, professionalism, and teamwork.

Collaboration & Communication

• Partner closely with the Executive Director and leadership team on occupancy, satisfaction, and quality goals.
• Represent the clinical department during family discussions, team meetings, and community engagement.

What You Bring

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Prior senior living and clinical leadership experience required.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and state guidelines.
• Proven leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Resident-centered, compassionate approach to care.

Compensation & Benefits
