Assistant Teacher Child Care - Syracuse University : Job Details

Position supervises children while providing a safe, nurturing, responsive, and educational environment. Position is necessary to meet program goals and adherence to NYS Office of Child & Family Services regulations and required ratios. Assistant Teacher observes, documents, and assesses childrens behaviors in order to support and contribute to decisions regarding individual childrens needs in all domains of learning. Participates in required training hours, maintain CPR and First Aid certification, daily communication with parents, coordinates bi-annual parent conferences, and parent reports. Education and Experience Previous experience working with children birth to five years is required. An Associate degree in Early Childhood Education is preferred. Candidate will need to have all NYS OCFS required clearances prior to start (State Central Register clearance, Fingerprint clearance, and Staff Exclusion List clearance).
