Summary

Broaddus Construction is looking for an Assistant Superintendent to join our team/family culture and build a $7M Financial institution in the local Round Rock, Texas area. This will be fast paced 8-month schedule duration, that will include ground-up and interiors construction. Once this project is completed, this team member will remain onboard and work on other local jobs in the Austin, Texas market the will either be commercial construction or multifamily projects.

This position will support the coordination and scheduling of multiple construction crews, helps to determine construction requirements, plans procedures, and ensures subcontract work meets required specifications. The position will also participate in the inspection of work and equipment to verify safety and ensure project operations specifications are met. Lastly, this role will serve as a partner to the on-site Superintendent working to achieve operational excellence.

Qualifications

· Three years or more of construction field experience required.

· Previous or current commercial field experience very helpful but also open to candidates with multifamily construction experience.

· Intermediate knowledge in standard building and construction processes needed.

· Knowledge of document control, scheduling, cost control and project management software is helpful.

· Above Average written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.

· Ability to handle intermediate volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

· Team-player with a good work ethic.

· Maintain regular attendance and punctuality relative to daily work schedule is required.

· Maintain OSHA 30, First Aid, and CPR certifications.

· Must be able to pass a background check.

· Valid driver's license and must be able to meet company's driving requirements.

· Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.
