General Summary

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in the daily operation of the store. Key responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

• Greets and assists customers positively, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Ensures a clean, well-stocked store and maintains a presence in the store.
• Supervises, trains, and develops Store Associates under the Store Manager's guidance.
• Assists in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Supports in ordering merchandise, record keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Supports loss prevention efforts and assumes management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follows all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Retail management experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifting up to 55 lbs., and perform physical activities such as walking, standing, stooping, and climbing.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills include customer focus, organizational skills, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
