Schedule: Monday to Friday from 10:30am to 6:30pmPRIMARY FUNCTION: Manages the Unit delivery of a broad range of programs including, but not limited to, the five core areas of positive youth development. Oversees program implementation, supervises staff, and performs program-related administrative duties. Directly supports, reports, and delivers program initiatives that are provided by the Director of Programs and Training Initiatives. Support staff to incorporate youth involvement in program design and delivery. Works with staff to develop outcome indicators. Description of Duties (Essential Job Responsibilities):
- Plans, implements, and oversees the administration of Club-wide programs/activities that support BGCA's Youth Development Strategy, grant, and agency requirements as identified by the Director of Programs and Training Initiatives.
- Oversee the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established standards and goals; Establishes measurable objectives consistent with organizational goals.
- Conducts regular meetings with Youth Development Professionals to coordinate curriculum cohesion and delivery.
- Ensure objectives for all active plans align with measurable indicators.
- Create unit and group plans that support a core program area and align with Club-wide instructional goals.
- Monitor and evaluate programs, services, and activities on a continual basis to ensure safety of members, quality and fidelity of programs and to ensure programs/activities have addressed member needs.
- Work with Site Coordinator to provide feedback on staff evaluations.
- Meet with and provide program outcome reports to the Director of Programs and Training and share feedback.
- Oversee record keeping, reporting and data entry.
- Identify and support training opportunities for assigned staff and volunteers. Co-conduct regular staff meetings with the Site Coordinator.
- Increase visibility of Club programs by posting daily/weekly schedules, announcing upcoming events and additional information aimed at Club development.
- Ensure program spaces are appropriate and conducive to current program offerings/needs.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in any field of study with a minimum of 18 credit hours successfully completed in education, child development, or a related field, 1-year experience in out-of-school time programs, AND 1-year staff supervisory experience.
- Or NYS Children's Program Administrator Credential AND 1-year supervisor experience.
- Or SACC credential AND 1-year supervisor experience.
- Ability to manage 100+ youth (6-18 years old), and 11+ staff daily.

- Must be able to problem-solve, trouble shoot, use reflective thinking and the ability to work as a member of a dynamic team.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and Windows operating systems.

- Valid driver's license
- Must complete CPR/First-Aid certification within 6 months of employment.
Work Environment: The employee will work primarily indoors with outdoor activities when the weather permits.
