Bach To Rock (“B2R”), America's Music School for students of all ages, is currently seeking a full-time Assistant School Director to support the Franklin Bach to Rock School Director in all aspects of successful music school operations. This role works with customers, liaises with students and the parents of young students, and helps to carry out administrative functions in the areas of inventory control, processing sales, billing, and generating reports. The Franklin Bach to Rock Assistant School Director must have a deep-rooted passion to deliver music education that embodies the mission and vision of the school, making the experience nothing less than inspiring for all. The Assistant School Director role is a leadership and multi-functional position, which includes Sales, Staff Management, Administration, Marketing, and Facilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Specific duties and responsibilities may include the following, but the individual will also be expected to perform all the duties necessary which are customarily performed by a person holding this position. Sales Responsibilities: Assists School Director with lead generation to identify and develop new sales opportunities through digital engagement, follow-up communication, and calls to current and prospective customers. Provides suggestions for ways to improve engagement and sales. Stays abreast of the Bach to Rock curriculum, pricing, rules, and regulations. Administers daily renewals, billing, enrollments, and schedule changes. Supports and may act as a back up to school management in approving payroll hours, billing, collections, and retail sales; inventory control maintaining product levels appropriately. Shares responsibility for maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant school and its equipment; helps with simple repairs as needed. Coordinates and attends local events to promote Bach to Rock and prospect for students. Basic understanding of sales and customer service practices. Administrative Duties: Safeguards the arrival and departure of students. Provides information to parents and students. Ensures a high standard of teaching. In conjunction with school management, assists with the scheduling of classes, staff, faculty, and students through the Harmony Gateway System* (Bach to Rock's scheduling, and time-tracking system); this includes the logistics of class schedules, camps, and lessons. Ensures teachers use the approved school curriculum and assign homework where appropriate. If qualified, may be asked to teach/substitute private lessons. Marketing Activities: Responsible for assisting school management with planned marketing activities. Markets to customers and prospects utilizing iContact and social media platforms. Facilities Management: Responsible for the timely opening and closing of the school. Shares responsibility for the safe use and maintenance of all equipment; maintains on-site computer system and phone system as necessary. Responsible for maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant school and its music equipment. Completes simple repairs as needed. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Musical training beyond amateur level in at least one instrument is preferred but not required. Ability to interface successfully with the public. Communicate effectively with diverse population. Ability to be an efficient and effective problem-solver without the guidance of school management. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to operate basic office equipment, i.e., phone, copiers, scanners, and computers. Adaptable to changes in the workplace. Ability to work as a team player. Ability to use all relevant computer software and to learn Bach to Rock's specialized systems. Education and Experience: Must have a high school diploma or GED. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a related field is preferred. (i.e., business, management, marketing, music, etc.) Proficient in Microsoft Office. Record-keeping and time-tracking experience is a plus. Administrative experience is preferred. Some experience in a sales, marketing, or communications role is preferred. Must be proficient in English speaking, reading, and writing skills. Ability to sit, stand, walk, travel up and down stairs, crouch, stoop, and reach. Ability to lift and carry at least 45 lbs. (Musical instruments, amps and furniture). Able to attend scheduled off-site Bach to Rock events during day, nights, and weekends. Able to drive a small cargo van. (Possess a valid driver's license).
