Assistant Public Works Director - Village of Ruidoso New Mexico : Job Details

Under general policy guidance and direction of the Public Works Director, the Assistant Public Works Director performs complex supervisory, administrative, and professional work in planning, organizing, directing, and supervision for the utilities department including all water production, water distribution, sewer collections, water resources, wastewater treatment plant and street department functions for the Village of Ruidoso. This hands-on role serves on the Public Works Management Team and actively contributes to decision-making, ensuring efficient and effective departmental operations, practices, and policies. Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations is a key focus. This position is exempt from FLSA. Regular work hours are 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday, however hours will be determined by whatever is necessary to do a quality job. This will include nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
