We proudly manage a dynamic portfolio of mixed-income, mixed-use residential communities.Position Summary:We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager to support the daily operations of our residential communities. This role plays a key part in ensuring a positive living experience for residents by assisting with leasing, resident relations, office administration, and maintenance coordination.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in customer service who is eager to grow in the affordable housing/property management field. Prior experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate with transferable skills and a willingness to learn.Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional customer service to residents, visitors, and vendors.
- Respond promptly to calls, emails, walk-ins, and resident concerns with professionalism and care.
- Organize and maintain office files, resident records, and compliance documentation.
- Assist with processing rental applications and supporting leasing efforts.
- Manage maintenance work orders and coordinate follow-ups with the facilities team.
- Draft and distribute resident notices, newsletters, and general communications.
- Support Section 8 and other affordable housing program tasks, including annual recertifications.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external vendors and service providers.
Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of property management experience preferred, especially in affordable housing.
- Candidates with strong customer service backgrounds and transferable skills are encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge of Section 8 and other affordable housing programs is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience with Yardi software is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
Position Details:
- Schedule: Full-time (40 hours/week)
- Pay Range: $23-$25/hour, based on experience
- Paid Time Off: 15 days annually
