Join us and become part of an inclusive team.Client Overview:Our client, a highlyrespected real estate investment, development, and property management firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Assistant Project Manager to join their Capital Improvements team. This temporary Assistant Project Manager role will provide critical coverage during maternity leave and offer hands-on involvement in a variety of ongoing renovation and infrastructure projects across a robust NYC portfolio. If you are a detail-oriented and driven Assistant Project Manager ready to contribute to high-impact real estate projects, this is a strong opportunity to gain experience with a top-tier capital improvements team in NYC.Salary/Hourly Rate:$43/hr - $47/hr Depending on experiencePosition Overview:The Assistant Project Manager will support the full life cycle of construction and capital projects-from pre-construction procurement to on-site coordination and execution. The ideal Assistant Project Manager has prior experience in NYC-based residential or commercial construction and is confident managing bids, tracking schedules, and liaising with both vendors and internal stakeholders. This Assistant Project Manager position is 100% onsite at the firm's Midtown office.Responsibilities of the Assistant Project Manager:* Assist with the preparation of bid packages, writing scopes of work, and coordinating subcontractor outreach.* Evaluate bids, prepare comparison sheets, and confirm compliance with project scope.* Manage and track shop drawings, submittals, and project documentation workflows.* Support MEP and trade coordination meetings, site logistics, and safety documentation.* Update schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts for active projects.* Review and process subcontractor change orders and payment applications.* Coordinate with vendors for the timely delivery of materials and equipment.* Help gather documentation for DOB filings and permits.* Conduct site visits and assist with ongoing project reporting.* Engage with capital improvements projects, including façade work, MEP upgrades, amenity renovations, and roofing.Required Experience/Skills for the Assistant Project Manager:* 2 - 4 years of experience as an Assistant Project Manager in construction or engineering.* Working knowledge of project budgeting, procurement, and vendor coordination.* Excellent organizational and communication skills.Preferred Experience/Skills for the Assistant Project Manager:* Experience with NYC-based residential or commercial projects is strongly preferred.* Familiarity with AutoCAD LT, Microsoft Project, and Bluebeam.* EIT certification is preferred.* Prior experience with systems like Nexus, MRI, or DocuSign.Education Requirements:* Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.Benefits:* Full-time, onsite Assistant Project Manager role supporting capital projects across NYC.* Exposure to a range of real estate project types, from structural upgrades to interior renovations.* Opportunity to work alongside experienced project managers in a high-caliber real estate firm.* Atrium Care Package available, upon eligibility (including healthcare plans, discount programs, and paid time off).
