We're currently hiring an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to join our new, growing team in New York City. This is an entry-level role, ideal for candidates who are recent college graduates. Internship experience is welcome and sufficient. This is a hybrid position; you'll work from our office or a project site at least once a week B&D was awarded the 2024 Champion of Learning (four years running!) by the prestigious Association for Talent Development. What You'll Do As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll contribute to the development and execution of complex, high-impact initiatives. From campus planning and stakeholder engagement to budgeting, procurement, design, and construction oversight, you'll wear many hats while learning from experienced project leaders. Specifically, you'll:
- Support the launch, development, and management of multiple client initiatives
- Assist in developing project goals, schedules, budgets, and evaluation frameworks
- Coordinate solicitations for architects, engineers, and other professional services
- Help manage the design process, review key milestones, and track performance
- Provide support in analyzing construction strategies, phasing plans, and logistics
- Prepare tailored deliverables-including reports, presentations, and analysis-for diverse stakeholders
- Act as a trusted team member, delivering insights and recommendations with accuracy and care
- Participate in learning opportunities and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, planning, or a related field
- Relevant internship experience in project management, construction, or owner's representation.
- Full authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship. B&D is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas now or in the future.
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with tools such as Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or RS Means is a plus
- Willingness to travel (up to 30%)

This role's target base annual salary range is currently $75,000-90,000. Pay scales are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual pay is determined through interviews and an assessment of several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, relevant education, experience, certifications, abilities of the candidate, and pay relative to other team members.
