Assistant Project Manager – Commercial Construction

Compensation: $120,000 to $140,000 annually (depending on experience)

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a large hospital project in Los Angeles, with additional opportunities on surrounding healthcare projects. This is a high-impact role for someone looking to grow within a premier GC known for its excellence in public sector construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Project Manager in day-to-day project operations from preconstruction through closeout
- Coordinate RFI, submittal, and change order processes
- Maintain project documentation including meeting minutes, schedules, and procurement logs
- Work closely with field supervision to ensure adherence to schedule, scope, and budget
- Support subcontractor coordination and assist in managing third-party consultants
- Monitor safety compliance and participate in safety audits and meetings
- Ensure timely communication with project stakeholders and clients
- Participate in project meetings and contribute to issue resolution and planning
Requirements:
- 2 to 5 years of experience in commercial construction, preferably with public works or OSHPD/HC projects
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Project
- Understanding of construction schedules, cost control, and contract administration
- Ability to work on site in the Los Angeles area
Preferred:
- Experience on healthcare or hospital projects
- Familiarity with DSA or OSHPD processes
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
