Job Description :
At Balfour Beatty Construction, we are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to join our project teams in Washington DC.

This role is responsible for assisting the Project Manager in managing all administrative and technical requirements for construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager supports activities related to contract administration, change orders, submittals, procurement, project financials, and scheduling to ensure projects are completed in a quality, profitable, safe, sustainable, and timely manner. The role also emphasizes maintaining a focus on meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations by supporting the Project Manager across all project aspects.

Essential Functions
  • Preconstruction Coordination
  • Project Scheduling
  • Project Administration, Operations, and Close-out
  • Promote Customer and Community Relations
  • Foster Positive Culture, Leadership, and Employee Development
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • At least 5 years of construction office or field experience in roles such as Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, or Assistant Project Manager
    • 1-year direct supervisory experience
    • Experience with project management software (Constructware, P6, Timberline, etc.)
    • Experience with cost projection, financial analysis, budget reviews, labor reports
    • Experience with JD Edwards or similar construction applications
    Preferred Experience
    • Scheduling and sequencing experience using software applications or Microsoft Excel
    • Ground-up commercial construction experience
    • Local candidate preferred but not required

    The base compensation range for the Assistant Project Manager role in Washington DC is $95,000 to $115,000 annually.
