Build the Future of NYC Housing

Join a vertically integrated, self-performing developer that's reshaping New York City through the creation of high-quality, affordable housing. As an Assistant Project Manager, you'll be part of a mission-driven team known for delivering complex, ground-up multifamily projects across the five boroughs. This is a rare opportunity to grow with a firm that combines in-house development, design coordination, and construction execution under one roof.

Whether you're looking to deepen your technical skills or accelerate your path to Project Manager, this role offers unmatched exposure to the full project lifecycle-preconstruction to punch list, entitlement to TCO.

Your Role:

As an APM, you'll work closely with Senior PMs and Superintendents to drive construction forward-managing timelines, budgets, and communication between field, design, and ownership teams. You'll play a hands-on role in projects that deliver meaningful impact for NYC communities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support day-to-day management of active job sites in coordination with superintendents and subcontractors

  • Assist with design development reviews, drawing coordination, and code compliance

  • Help lead preconstruction activities including budgeting, procurement, and contract execution

  • Prepare RFIs, submittals, and change orders; track responses and approvals

  • Coordinate DOB filings, permitting, utility connections, and signoffs

  • Participate in ownership meetings, progress reporting, and requisition packages

  • Monitor project schedule and flag critical path issues

  • Assist in punch list tracking and closeout process, including TCO and final inspections

What We're Looking For:
  • 2-4 years of experience in NYC-based ground-up residential construction (affordable, mixed-income, or market-rate housing)

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related discipline

  • Strong understanding of NYC construction codes, permitting, and inspections

  • Familiarity with construction software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)

  • Strong organizational and communication skills-comfortable managing competing priorities

  • Motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented professional looking to take the next step

Why This Firm?
  • Mission-Driven Projects: Work on meaningful, community-focused developments that shape the future of New York

  • End-to-End Exposure: Participate in all aspects of the building process, from design review to punch list

  • Career Growth: Accelerated advancement opportunities in a flat, entrepreneurial structure

  • Self-Performing Structure: Gain hands-on exposure to construction logistics, cost control, and field execution

Benefits:
  • Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance

  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holidays

  • Pre-tax commuter benefits

  • Mentorship and long-term career pathing

  • Supportive, tight-knit project teams
