Known for delivering complex, ground-up multifamily projects, the firm manages the entire process in-house-from development and design coordination to construction execution.
Position Overview The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to support the delivery of ground-up residential developments. This role offers exposure to the full construction lifecycle, from preconstruction through closeout, with clear opportunities for advancement to Project Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in day-to-day oversight of active job sites in coordination with field staff and subcontractors
Support design reviews, drawing coordination, and compliance with NYC codes and regulations
Contribute to preconstruction efforts including budgeting, procurement, and contract execution
Prepare and track RFIs, submittals, and change orders
Coordinate DOB filings, permitting, utility connections, and sign-offs
Monitor project schedules and identify potential delays or critical path issues
Participate in project meetings, progress reporting, and requisition packages
Assist with punch lists, TCO process, and project closeout
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in NYC-based ground-up residential construction (affordable, mixed-income, or market-rate)
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field
Knowledge of NYC construction codes, permitting processes, and inspections
Proficiency with construction management software (Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, etc.)
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
