Assistant Project Manager/Estimator - WCA Roofing & Sheet Metal Co. : Job Details

Responsibilities:- Preparing estimates, submittals, change orders, and RFI's, to streamline ongoing projects.- Assist in managing current workload and maintaining construction schedules.- Assemble, organize, and maintain documentation needed for timely project closeout activities.- Professional communication to Owners, Clients, Engineers, etc. involved in ongoing projects.- Support safety program policies, procedures, and compliance.Requirements Skills and Experience:We are looking for a motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, and a willingness to grow into a project manager role in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will maintain a great sense of pride in his or her work, along with professional communication and attention to detail. Specific requirements are listed below:- Proficient in the use of computerized systems, including Outlook, Excel, Adobe, Word, etc.- Familiar with project management software and estimating software is a plus.- OSHA 10 certification required, OSHA 30 certification preferred. - Ability to meet deadlines and bid dates with a positive attitude. - Ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of employees, both management and staff alike, vendors, clients, and others.- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.- Strong written and verbal communication skills.- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.Minimum Requirements:- Two-year degree in a related field such as construction management, construction technology, etc. Four-year degree preferred.- Some field experience preferred. - Knowledge and Understanding of architectural, mechanical, and general construction techniques.
