Job Summary:
They are seeking a motivated Project Engineer to join our San Diego team. This role is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and eager to grow within the commercial construction industry. As a Project Engineer, you'll work closely with Project Managers and Superintendents to ensure projects are executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordination, and execution of commercial construction projects
- Maintain and update project documentation including RFIs, submittals, meeting minutes, and change orders
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers
- Track project schedules and monitor progress
- Help manage budgets and cost control measures
- Support procurement of materials and equipment
- Conduct site walks and assist in quality control inspections
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in commercial construction (internships considered)
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, drawings, and terminology
- Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
