Proposed Academic Appointment: Assistant ProfessorPrimary Role & FTE Percentage: cFTE 1.0

Location: The primary site is at Emory University Hospital Midtown (EUHM).

Clinical Service Expectations and Administrative Role

Clinical duties with General Cardiology include:

  • 9 clinical sessions per week, divided among:
    • Outpatient clinic and inpatient consultative service at EUHM
    • Interpretation of Echocardiograms, Cardiac CT/CTA, and cardiac MRI studies
    • One day of outreach clinic at a site TBD
    • Full participation in the Cardiology on-call rotation at EUHM
  • One session per week for administrative activities
  • *Clinical duties are subject to change at the discretion of the Emory Heart & Vascular Executive Director, based on operational and strategic needs of the service line.

    Teaching expectations include participation in teaching activities such as lectures, small group and bedside teaching, preceptorship, and mentorship, in accordance with the School of Medicine Guidelines for Appointment, Promotion, and Tenure. You will also engage in scholarly or academic activities.

    Note: All position tasks are required to be performed in-person at an Emory University location; remote work is not an option. Emory reserves the right to change this status with notice to the employee.
