Job Description The Department of Kinesiology at St. Olaf College invites applications for a full-time, tenure track position in Kinesiology at the Assistant Professor level to begin August 2026. The successful applicant for this position will be an innovative teacher and scholar with a demonstrated interest in and dedication to undergraduate pedagogy. Applicants should have clearly defined areas of research/scholarship and be able to demonstrate how they could include undergraduate students. Successful candidates will be able to teach introductory and intermediate-level Kinesiology courses as well as directed undergraduate research classes to Kinesiology majors. The normal teaching load is five courses per year. Additional duties involve curriculum development, advising of students, service on department and college committees, and ongoing professional development. Salary: $74,190 - $79,000 Qualifications Required:
- Ph.D. in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or closely related field from an accredited institution by the start date of appointment
Preferred:
- Previous teaching experience within undergraduate Kinesiology/Exercise Science curriculum
- Ability to develop and direct scholarly research agenda to engage undergraduate students
- ACSM, NSCA, or closely related certifications
