Assistant Professor of Criminal Justice - Indiana University : Job Details

The Department of Criminal Justice at Indiana University South Bend is currently seeking qualified applicants for a tenure track position beginning August 1 2026. A PhD. in Criminal Justice or Criminology is required and ABD candidates will be considered as long as a PhD in Criminal Justice or Criminology is in hand by the time of appointment. A JD and/or Ed. D degree alone is not sufficient. The full-time load (100% FTE) is 12 credit hours (typically four courses) each fall and spring semester, with one course (25% FTE) reassigned time for scholarly and creative activities following university & campus policies. Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to quality instruction, maintain an active research agenda, and be willing to engage in service activities.
