Assistant Professor, Journalism and Mass Communications - Murray State University : Job Details

The ACEJMC-accredited department has majors in Multimedia Journalism, Strategic Communication, and Visual Communication. It also has a Masters degree programs in Mass Communication and several minors in the mass communications discipline. It is one of six departments in the Arthur J. Bauernfeind College of Business. The candidate would be expected to teach classes in the core curriculum, one or two majors and/or the graduate program. The typical course load is 4-4. Responsibilities include teaching foundational and advanced classes in the department and in the successful candidates additional areas of expertise, teaching classes in the departments Masters degree programs, advising students, contributing to student organizations and other department extracurricular learning experience, executing a successful research agenda, and serving on departmental, college, and university committees as assigned.
