Overview
The SIU School of Medicine Department of Biomedical Sciences invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor. Tenure will be within the Division of Molecular and Integrative Physiology with a possible joint appointment in another academic unit. The position includes a 100 percent time tenure track appointment, 12-month state-funded salary, and spacious research facilities.
Qualifications
Ph.D. in physiology or related biomedical science field. A minimum of two years postdoctoral or equivalent experience and evidence of high-quality research are required. The candidate's specific area of research should be competitive for extramural funding and preferably complement existing departmental strengths in reproduction, neuroscience, development, and endocrinology.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to medical school, graduate, and undergraduate teaching responsibilities of the department.
