LSU Health Sciences Center, Human Development Center seeks to hire an Assistant Professor (clinical track) to serve as Director of Interdisciplinary Training. The incumbent will initially co-Direct the Louisiana Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and related Disabilities (LEND) and become the Director of the LEND grant upon the retirement of the current HDC director. The successful candidate must use the LEND grant, in part, to raise awareness, enhance services for children, youth and families with neurodiversity and seek extramural funding through the office of Sponsored Projects to support their salary and salary of staff working under them.
The successful candidate must have a minimum of three years' professional experience teaching, designing and implementing educator and/or family training and coaching. The incumbent must have documented experience and expertise in the field of neurodiversity (e.g., ASD, FASD, CP) as well as leadership education. Masters + 30 hours Specialist degree (or Doctoral degree, preferred) in special education or a related field (e.g., psychology, social work, or other related services field).
