The Department of Mechanical Engineering at Columbia University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level in the field of robotics and autonomous systems. The focus areas include, but are not limited to:

We are interested in robotics systems ranging from humanoids and legged robots to drones and vehicles, as well as general automation, locomotion, and manipulation across various applications. Candidates are encouraged to explore research intersections with departmental and university initiatives in energy and sustainability, biomechanics, nano/micro technology, engineering and medicine, and artificial intelligence.
