We are seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Merchandiser to support the Nautica and Lucky Brand Men's Value businesses. This role partners closely with the Merchandiser to manage the day-to-day business, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and alignment with brand and financial goals. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and trend-aware, with the ability to balance creativity and strategy in a fast-paced environment. Key ResponsibilitiesData & Systems Management: • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy is maintained across all systems and documentation, including FlexPLM, DeSL, Excel master files, and seasonal line sheets. • Meeting & Market Prep: Check in and organize samples for SRS and cross-functional meetings. Collaborate with Production to track showroom/ market samples. Work with Design to prepare support materials such as color swatches, reference samples, and updated visual line sheets. • Sample Management: Organize and maintain samples for meetings and closet archives. Coordinate with Office Management on sample sale/donation boxes. Photo Shoot Coordination: • Partner with PD, Marketing, and Sales to ensure imagery requirements are met and on schedule. • Competitive Analysis: Research in-store and online competition to track product and pricing trends; provide insights and ideas to support business growth. Package Development: • Work alongside cross-functional partners to identify packaging needs and provide support in developing labels, hangtags, and marketing materials. Business Strategy: • Identify white space opportunities to help influence seasonal assortments that align with pricing strategies. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Merchandising or related field. • 1-2 years of industry experience (internships or assistant roles). • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply retail math concepts. • Excellent communication skills-both written and verbal. • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines. • Creative thinker with a strategic mindset; able to translate concepts into actionable results. • Self-motivated, adaptable, and proactive with a strong sense of ownership. • Collaborative, positive, and capable of building strong cross-functional relationships Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to position offered and work experience.
