What the role is:
The Hawker Centres Group (HCG) of NEA plays a lead role in managing and enhancing our hawker centres, ensuring they remain places where people from all walks of life can enjoy affordable food in a clean and hygienic environment. HCG also reviews and implements hawker-related policies that benefit both hawkers and the public.
What you will be working on:
As an Assistant Manager/Manager (Operations and Engagement) in HCG, your duties will include:
Tenancy Management- Managing stall tenancies from onboarding to termination, including processing applications and appeals.
- Conducting tenancy inspections to ensure compliance.
- Managing arrears and executing legal notices.
- Implementing new policies and programs, such as Productive Hawker Centre initiative, Incubation Stall Program, and Hawkers Development Program.
- Promoting digitalization and supporting initiatives like supply chain contingency to sustain Hawker Trade and preserve Hawker Culture.
Cleaning & Facilities Management- Maintaining high cleanliness and hygiene standards, including post-COVID protocols.
- Managing facilities maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
- Conducting surveillance and addressing concerns with stakeholders.
- Developing and monitoring environmental standards and programs.
Feedback/Appeals Management & Stakeholder Engagement- Handling feedback professionally and promptly.
- Engaging with stakeholders such as stallholders, associations, Town Councils, and other agencies.
- Planning and executing activities like fire drills, safety training, and cleaning campaigns.
Emergency Preparedness and Workplace Safety- Implementing safety measures against weather and emergencies.
- Monitoring and mitigating safety risks.
- Conducting safety walkabouts and training.
