Assistant Kitchen Designer - Business of Home : Job Details

Assistant Kitchen Designer Location: New York Job Description Kitchen Design Assistant will have a great opportunity to learn about residential kitchen design will significantly expand their construction knowledge as a result of participating in the kitchen design process. In addition to learning about millwork the candidate will learn a great deal about residential kitchen appliances. Candidate will assist business owner and senior designer with CAD drafting, construction site measures, cabinetry ordering. The assistant will attend client meetings with the senior designers, incorporate all changes into CAD drawings and written proposal. Keep track of materials to be ordered for each project and assist in the ordering of materials. Job Requirements Candidate must have excellent CAD drafting skills. Candidate should expect to draft 30 hours per week. Candidate must be willing to go to client construction sites to measure, coordinate with contractor, attend to punch list items, and receive deliveries. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential for writing draft client proposals, attending client meeting, and corresponding with interior design clients. Candidate will need to be detail orientated and have well organized follow up skills.
