Assistant Golf Coach

The University of North Florida (UNF), a Division I member of the NCAA and the ASUN Conference, is seeking a highly motivated and qualified individual to serve as an Assistant Golf Coach for the men's golf program. This position is responsible for supporting the head coach in all aspects of program development, recruiting, training, and team administration.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, development, and execution of daily practices and training sessions.
  • Provide on-course coaching and instruction during team practices and competitions.
  • Support student-athlete development both athletically and academically.
  • Assist with recruiting efforts, including identifying, evaluating, and communicating with prospective student-athletes.
  • Coordinate team travel arrangements, logistics, and itineraries.
  • Ensure compliance with NCAA, ASUN Conference, and UNF rules and regulations.
  • Participate in fundraising, alumni engagement, and community outreach efforts.
  • Maintain accurate records and manage administrative responsibilities as assigned.
  • Other duties as assigned by the head coach or Athletic Director.
Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Prior coaching or high-level playing experience in golf (collegiate or professional level preferred)
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively
  • Working knowledge of NCAA regulations

Preferred:

  • Master's degree
  • Experience using golf-specific technologies (e.g., TrackMan, V1, Golfstat)
  • Demonstrated success in recruiting and player development
Work Environment:
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and travel as needed.
  • Position involves frequent travel for competitions and recruiting.
  • Must be able to lift and carry golf equipment.
