Guest Services BOOTHBAY, Maine Employment Type **Exempt with Benefits** Minimum Experience **Manager/Supervisor** Compensation **$50,000-$55,000/yr** The Assistant General Manager/Guest Services Manager (GSM) monitors performance across all departments relating to guest relations and supports Heads of Departments as needed. As the most visible frontline staff at a hotel, this team exerts a major influence on the guest experience. The GSM must be exceptionally organized, able to juggle priorities and tasks that change frequently. This person must also have a firm grasp on all aspects of a hotel operation, which is why the ideal GSM candidate has experience in multiple departments. This is a full-time, year-round position with excellent benefits. Essential Duties and Responsibilities : Experience and Skill Requirements: The following experience and skills are considered essential: One of the most important skills here is the nuance needed to motivate a team of hourly workers with high turnover while still maintaining service standards. This requires a significant amount of conflict resolution, patience, resilience and a get it done mentality. At least two years of experience in the hotel division with increasing responsibilities. Excellent customer service and sales skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, conveying information and ideas clearly. Strong analytical skills. Ability to work with a variety of colleagues and guests. Ability to take and give direction. Ability to remain calm, courteous, and professional with demanding guests and in difficult situations. Time management and prioritization skills, including the ability to meet deadlines. A team player, who is flexible and willing to help support MHGs goals; ability and willingness to support sister hotels rooms operations. Ability to lead and motivate teams to a high level of performance. Education Requirements: The following education requirements are considered essential: Bachelors Degree in Business or Hospitality Management, or the equivalent in education and closely-related work experience, required.
