Actively manage various types of litigation for the Company. - Select and actively monitor outside counsel to ensure effective case handling, with an emphasis on efficiency and cost consciousness. - Conduct investigations to respond to complaints and lawsuits. - Provide advice and counsel to business partners. - Identify risks to the business and ensure compliance with laws and regulations. Stay abreast of legal trends and communicate proactively to internal partners and clients. - Represent the company at trials, hearings, investigations, depositions, mediations, and settlement conferences. - Identify and pursue opportunities for the Company to recover funds, including through litigation and class claim participation. - Oversee, and as necessary prepare, the response to notices, subpoenas, summonses, and other correspondence that require legal action in incumbents areas of responsibility.
