Assistant Facility Security Officer

We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Facility Security Officer (AFSO) to join our Companys Security Clearance team. The AFSO plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining security clearances for our personnel. Key responsibilities include maintaining procedural guides, managing access to systems, handling data, processing visit requests, and interacting with clients and government representatives.

Ideal candidates for this role showcase strong leadership, proactive thinking, and proficiency in Excel. The position requires working with various databases, including the DOD system of record and internal HR systems. Candidates should be comfortable in a computer-based environment, prioritize confidentiality, and excel in deadline-driven settings.

Key duties of the AFSO include:

- Maintaining procedural guides for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) requirements and processing SCI requests.

- Updating policies and procedures in alignment with Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency requirements.

- Managing all active security clearances for designated company sectors.

- Addressing clearance-related inquiries from management and site personnel, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.

- Overseeing personnel clearance documents and conducting clearance audits regularly.

- Issuing Visit Request letters, maintaining government forms, and managing clearance terminations efficiently.

- Delivering annual training, creating communications for the field, and collaborating with marketing and training departments.

Basic Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• Ability to acquire and maintain any other specific special clearances / access requirements where appropriate.
• Top Secret security clearance.

Education / Experience

• A high school diploma / GED is required. A Bachelors degree is preferred. Additional relevant experience may be substituted for the required education on the basis of one calendar year of experience for one academic year of education.
• FSO certified or willing to obtain certification within 90 days of employment.

Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements.
