Minimum Qualifications:

***Experience in a management position operating retirement, assisted living or skilled nursing community is a must!***

Licensure, Certification & Registration:

  • Must have appropriate professional license in good standing (i.e. Skilled Care, RCF, ALF, BH).
  • Must possess a current state specific driver's license and appropriate driving record.
  • Must be fidelity bondable.

Education: High School diploma, higher education, and accompanied by specific training and/or certification in management activities.

Job Description:

Under the direction of the Executive director, the Assistant Executive Director will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the community, achieving and maintaining maximum occupancy of the community to capacity, achieving high resident satisfaction and quality resident care/services, ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal requirements, generating respect in the community for the community, ensuring smooth operation of the community, and generating the projected profit for the company.

Position Summary:

  • Operational Management: Ensure profitability by adhering to budgets, monitoring staffing and expenses, and avoiding unauthorized temp staffing.
  • Resident Relations: Foster a culture of excellent customer service and promptly address resident concerns.
  • Contract Oversight: Manage and evaluate third-party service providers (e.g., beauty, therapy).
  • Resident Engagement: Promote programs for social, physical, educational, and spiritual enrichment.
  • Compliance & Monitoring: Ensure adherence to state/federal regulations and company policies; maintain accurate records and monitor community performance metrics.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate department leaders; conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Move-In Coordination: Oversee resident admissions, suitability assessments, and apartment readiness.
  • Community Relations: Engage with Resident Council and external stakeholders to enhance community reputation.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor cleanliness, meal quality, and overall resident satisfaction.
