What You'll Do

As Assistant Division Chief, you will:

• Lead and mentor a team of legal professionals focused on complex investigations.
• Direct high-profile enforcement actions that may set legal and regulatory precedents.

• Oversee staffing, recruitment, and employee development to strengthen the branch.
• Shape litigation strategies and regulatory frameworks that impact California's energy future.

• Build on the success of ABX21, expanding petroleum market transparency and oversight.

What We're Looking For

• Extensive leadership experience in investigations, litigation, or regulatory enforcement.

• Proven ability to interpret complex codes and regulations to drive meaningful change.
