Assistant Director of Treatment and Systems Support

The Prevention and Treatment Systems Support Unit (PTSSU) works across the substance use continuum of care to enhance community wellness and guide providers of prevention, treatment and support services.

Duties: Oversee, monitor and track staff utilizing the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) data systems to monitor performance by reviewing OASAS performance indicators, program audits and management plans. Lead Quality Improvement (QI) project oversight to support unit staff in their work with provider agencies about process improvement and in collaboration with the Director of Care Innovation and Quality Improvement. Supervise Program Consultant staff, who are experienced managers that oversee contracted programs across the substance use care continuum.

Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of and experience with New York City's substance use service systems
  • Ability both to understand and explain quantitative and qualitative data
  • Evaluate methods, procedures, and data obtained from scientific investigation.

Requirements:

  • A doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and one year of full-time experience in a responsible supervisory, administrative or research capacity in the appropriate field of specialization; or
  • A master's degree from an accredited college or university with specialization in an appropriate field of physical, biological, environmental or social science and three years of responsible full-time research experience in the appropriate field of specialization.

NYC RESIDENCY IS REQUIRED WITHIN 90 DAYS OF APPOINTMENT.
