The Department of Nursing at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a full-time TH Assistant Director of Nursing, Pediatric & Neonatal ICU. The successful candidate will: Provide the supervision, guidance and evaluation to nursing personnel. Function as consultant to staff in the management of emergent patient care or staff problems. Serve as a point of contact for ancillary departments in the provision and evaluation of direct services to patient care units. Function as liaisons with medical faculty and community physicians in matters pertaining to clinical practice. Be responsible for staffing decisions and evaluation of nursing personnel. Interpret hospital policies and procedures to staff; applies policies consistently and fairly. Communicate with the Associate Nursing Directors in the follow-up of identified problems.
