Assistant Director of Nursing $10,000 Sign-On - Absolut Care : Job Details

Job Title: Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) RN Location: Absolut Care of Gasport Gasport, NY (20 minutes from Amherst)

Pay Range $85,000-$90,000 plus $10,000 Sign-On Bonus

Absolut Care of Gasport is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON). This is a key leadership role in our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilityideal for an RN who is ready to take the next step in management or is already leading with confidence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing (DON) with day-to-day clinical operations

• Provide clinical supervision and leadership to nursing staff, including RNs, LPNs, and CNAs

• Oversee quality assurance, infection control, and resident care delivery

• Support care planning, chart audits, and compliance with state/federal regulations

• Participate in staff training, onboarding, and performance management

• Monitor resident care plans, follow-up on incident reports, and ensure timely documentation

• Maintain communication with families, physicians, and interdisciplinary teams

• Serve as acting DON in the absence of the director

Qualifications:

• Current and valid RN license

• Preferred 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing facility, long-term care, or rehab setting

• Prior experience in nursing leadership or supervisory roles preferred (e.g., RN Supervisor, Unit Manager, ADON)

• Strong understanding of state DOH regulations, infection control, and clinical compliance

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team leadership skills

• Ability to manage priorities and solve problems in a fast-paced healthcare environment
