As the 2020 Florida Library of the Year, Broward County Library is one of the busiest Florida library systems with its 37 locations. Broward County Libraries has two flagship locations: a Main Library which features the Storefront - Artist in Residence Program, Active Learning Center, the Studio for Teens, and Small Business Incubator; and the African-American Research Library and Cultural Center which features a museum, art gallery, special collections vault and state-of-the-art auditorium.The Assistant Director of Libraries assists the Libraries Division Director in the administration and supervision of the public service operations for the library, including policy development, efficient use of resources, planning and organization of service delivery, development of administrative procedures, and in motivating staff to achieve new goals and strategic imperatives. Additionally, this position will guide projects from concept to implementation and evaluation and lead the delivery of system-wide programs and services.
