Position Summary:We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as an Assistant Director of Infection Prevention and Control.
In this role, the successful candidate will fulfill core responsibilities of an Infection Preventionist and play a key leadership role in the department. This includes coordinating infection prevention activities, education, surveillance, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Assistant Director will assist in managing the Infection Prevention Department, overseeing IPC initiatives, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Regular interaction, consultation, and education of hospital staff on infection prevention practices are essential.
Job Responsibilities:Master's degree in Nursing, Health Care Administration, Public Administration, or related field with 5+ years of progressive infection prevention experience, or a Bachelor's degree with 7+ years of experience. Valid NY State Nursing License and active CBIC certification are required. Proficiency in MS Office applications is necessary.
Required Licenses:Registered Nurse License-NYS
Preferred Qualifications:Experience with surveillance systems, data analysis, and knowledge of regulatory standards (TJC, CMS, OSHA, CDC, NYSDOH). Demonstrated leadership and communication skills are preferred.
Qualified candidates must communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
